Katie may be a twin, but she’s still one of a kind. With a prolific background in track as an accomplished athlete, Katie followed her passion for health into coaching track and cross country. She is a licensed USA Track and Field Official and owns and operates Texas Timing Solutions, which provides professional timing and guidance, and solutions to anyone putting on 5ks, 10ks, and so forth – regardless of if it’s their first or hundredth race. Katie received her undergraduate degree at Texas Tech and is currently pursuing her masters in Agriculture Business, which she hopes to apply to her and her husband Asa’s ranching business.

Asa is a personal trainer and is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. He attended Texas State’s Honors program and received his business degree. Asa and his wife Katie raise livestock on the family ranch, live in the 151 year old house, and blend natural, off-the-land living and fitness. Asa’s hobbies include hunting, fishing, weightlifting, gardening, reading, firearms, welding, and more. Jennifer attended UT in Austin and worked for many years as a Psychologist for the State of Texas. Since 1982 she has also been the fitness director for numerous health clubs that she and her husband Fermín operated. Jennifer has competed in powerlifting and cycling, and even had a scholarship to play soccer at UT. She has a black belt in Aikido, has published articles in the Journal of Primatology, worked as a commercial artist, and loves to do tile work when remodeling homes. In addition to studying five languages, playing in an orchestra and being an EMT, Jennifer raises cattle on the family ranch and loves all things outdoors- a true Renaissance woman!

Fermín has been in the health club business for over 40 years and has even worked all across the United States as an athletic club consultant. Fermín was born in Puerto Rico and lives on the ranch with his wife Jennifer. He is a  3rd -degree black belt and a certified Aikido instructor. Fermín is always ready to help as it says in the Bible, “To whom much is given, much is expected.” He founded the Marble Falls Boys & Girls Club, was the chair of the Highland Lakes Shriners, and currently serves as a Board Director for the Central Texas Electric Coop. His greatest accomplishment, however, is marrying Jennifer and raising their kids, Asa and Paloma.
